heart’s storytelling

Our most natural tendency as illustrators is to create oniric and open to interpretation designs. Sometimes we can associate those illustrations with some elements in nature.

This collection came from pure randomness or from a simple thought or influence in mind, while messing around on paper. It tends to represent a bit more of our particular style of illustrating.

We call them mutants because they keep changing perspectives and even to us they are always mutating, as our brand.

That’s our first collection with the fioAgua brand. We hope that you’ll enjoy it!

The creative background

Going with the same style of illustration as the balloon and the whale, the heart appeared very naturally while the hand creates this “scribbled” shape.

The initial intention was to create a collection based on hearts and different variations of it, with different interpretations, which deviated into other illustrations of the same style as the ones referred above.

It seemed right to maintain a simple heart by its own, not developing a very complex and pretentious concept, although the black color on it makes it a bit more intense, complemented by the dimension of the design and the brown t-shirt.

To design this one, we used a pilot pen with a thinner point. It’s the agglomeration of scribbles that form the shape of the heart and create its volume and roundness.
