This collection was made with an idea of beginnings and endings. When we talk about the beginning of things, inevitably we contemplate space itself. As supernovas symbolize both the beginning and the end of a star, human life goes alongside it.

It’s all about those two definitive points: life and death.

After analyzing the variables, we came up with two illustration concepts full of symbolism. An egg for the birth of things and a skull for its counterpart.

The creative background

With a space theme in mind, we chose to illustrate the birth of an alien life from a familiar element to humans: the egg.

After tested several combinations, positions and angles of an alien egg and we agreed that the ideal was to use a cracking egg.

The symbolism of creation with a hatching egg gives birth to the strange. Our idea was to relate the beauty of creation with the fear of the unknown. A living being inside of an egg appeared to be the perfect combination for this white t-shirt.
